Costiera Amalfitana, la "divina" Le Guide di Paestum e Velia en
The Amalfi Coast is a natural paradise, one of the 50 italian Unesco World Heritage Sites.
The so called “divine” coast is known for being the land of orange blossoms and lemons, salt, beautiful beaches and the wild mediterranean maquis. Everything is arranged vertically, also the pastel-colored dwellings overlooking the sea and hidden in the maze of picturesque alleys.
The best way to enjoy the coast is definitely by boat. For this excursion we want to propose a mini cruise from the port of Salerno along the coastline in direction Vietri, Cetara, Amalfi, Atrani, Maiori, Minori, the fjord Furore, Conca dei Marini, Positano. After about an hour we will reach Positano. According to an ancient legend, it was the place where the nymph Pasitea loved by Neptun died; it’s the place of the sirens and the capital of a particular beach style called “moda mare Positano”. People from all over the world love the city very much for these reasons.
After having enjoyed this fantastic place, we will continue by boat to Amalfi. It’s the city that gave the coast its name. Amalfi was the first of the four Maritime italian Republics. The visit focuses on the complex of the Cathedral, dedicated to Saint Andrew, with cloisters, churches and museum. It’s a big treasure reminding us how powerful and rich the city was in medieval times.
Of course you can not miss the tasting of the excellent “limoncello”, absolutely made with extraordinary lemons called sfusato!
